I started painting when I was just 11 years old, learning the ropes from my dad. He was a seasoned European painter with his own company back in Serbia, called Trend House. When we moved to Canada 12 years ago, he opened another successful painting business, C.P.M Painting, in Halifax. Growing up, I spent countless hours painting alongside him, and as I transitioned into adulthood, I found that I had a knack for it.
In fact, I often found myself completing painting jobs faster and with better results than many of the seasoned professionals I worked with. It dawned on me that I had a real talent for this craft, one that deserved to be shared with the world. So, I took the leap and started my own painting company.
But it wasn't just about running a business for me. I saw it as an opportunity for personal growth, a chance to become not just a skilled painter, but also the kind of person that people enjoy working with. And you know what? It's been one of the best decisions of my life.
Starting my own painting company has allowed me to meet and collaborate with so many amazing people along the way. It's been a journey filled with challenges and triumphs, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm all about personal growth. My hobbies might seem boring or even a bit crazy to some, but they're what keeps me energized and focused on becoming a better version of myself. Aside from dedicating 80% of my time to my business, I make sure to squeeze in activities like hitting the gym daily, engaging in online or in-person chess matches with friends, and practicing meditation 3-4 times a week.
Now, here's where things might get a bit unconventional – I also enjoy polar dipping in lakes with temperatures as cold as -1 degrees during the winter, and I do this 1-2 times a week! Yes, you might call me crazy, but if it's challenging and pushes my limits, count me in.
Of course, I make an effort to socialize with my friends at least once a week, but besides that, my days are pretty packed. I thrive on being active and keeping busy, constantly seeking out new challenges to conquer and opportunities for growth.
My life's goal is pretty straightforward: I want to build one of the biggest painting companies and expand it across all of Nova Scotia. But it's not just about the business for me. I'm also on a personal journey to become the best version of myself that I can be.
I know it's going to be a long road ahead, full of challenges and obstacles. But you know what? I'm determined to enjoy every moment of it and make the most out of this journey.
There's this motto I live by: "If work is your biggest problem, then you don't really have any problems at all." It's a reminder for me to stay focused, tackle challenges head-on, and appreciate the opportunities for growth that come with hard work and dedication.

Primer enhances the durability of the paint and provides better coverage. A primer coating is important, as it creates a smooth and even base for the paint to adhere to, especially on porous surfaces.
To avoid drips and splatters, always start from the top. When applying paint coats, ensure even coverage and smooth strokes. Multiple thin coats are advisable over one thick coat.
